Bryce Fox and The Black Keys

a little more piano then we would see from the black keys, not to mention the subtle use of falsetto, but there is something about the vocal aesthetic that reminds me of the black keys, not to mention the heavy guitar/synth line that runs throughout this song

POLIÇA and the Cranberries

unique female voices anchor both songs on display here, one working within the texture of the current indie electro climate and one firmly placed in the hey day of “alt rock.”  Both songs make steady use of dynamics and arrangement to deliver an impactful performance.

Kinds and No Doubt

Kinds make melodic fun pop music with a bit of a dance hall rock steady flair, and thus we thought who better to be their music doppelganger but 90’s ska band No Doubt.  Sure we could delve into ms stefani’s solo career, but for this listener, she will never surpass her work within the confines of No Doubt.

The track that we feature of Kinds shows a knack for melody and syncopated rhythm that although, doesn’t fully translate to this no doubt single, they certainly pair nicely together upon a few listens.
